Hello from Epic Waters, the newest, indoor waterpark located in Grand Prairie, Tx. Even before moving to the area, my sister told me all about this place. I knew we had to visit as soon as possible so, for sure it was going on our DFW Summer Bucket List. I was so grateful when our family was invited to check out everything Epic Waters had to offer. So, here’s everything you need to know before you plan your trip.
About Epic Waters
This indoor waterpark is absolutely amazing, as soon as we walked in we had to stop for a moment just to take it all in. This place is 80,000 sq. ft. of crazy waterslides, a surf simulator, activity pool, a children’s area, the longest lazy river in Texas, and even an outdoor wave pool. Oh, and I cant forget to mention the arcade!!
But, that’s not even the best part, Epic Waters is open all year-round!! The 40-panel retractable roof lets the sun in on a beautiful summer day and keeps the cold out in the winter. So, the waterpark is always a perfect tempeture, no matter the season.
Food and Beverage
After a few hours of splashing around we were starving. Luckily Epic Waters has a great cabana menu. My favorite was the nachos with meat. They were so good! The hot dog sliders are perfect for sharing! And, if you know me, then you’ll know that I am obsessed with fries…these did not disappoint. They also have great alcohol options and I saw a few margaritas that looked delicious!!
For the Groups
Epic Waters has a ton of tables available throughout the facilities. However, if you want reserved seating be sure to get a cabana. You’ll need to reserve in advance but they offer private seating and exclusive amenities, so they are totally worth the price.
Looking to plan a party?! The waterpark has three large indoor birthday party rooms that can accommodate both large and small parties. They also have several packages available, and are priced to fit any budget.
Things to Consider before your trip to Epic Waters
We had such a blast at Epic Waters. And, I just want to share a few things that you might want to know, so you can have an epic time as well.
- Be sure to arrive early if you want to get a table or two.
- They have lockers available so you won’t have to worry about your stuff.
- Restrooms have showers, and there are also separate family restrooms as well.
- No need to bring a life-jacket for the kids they have them free to grab throughout the park.
- Tubes for the slides and lazy river are also free, just grab one and go.
- I recommend water shoes over flip flops – the floor can get a bit slippery.
- Epic Waters is know to hit capacity during the weekends, so buy your tickets online.
- Parking is free
- Don’t forget your towel!
